Rachlin Announces Promotions

South Florida-Rachlin LLP has announced several promotions. Nicole Mannarino has been named a partner in the firm. David S. Berezin, Robert Gellman, Dave A. Roberts and Ronald E. Wise have been named principals.

Mannarino is a partner in the firm's Commercial and SEC Assurance division. She has more than 12 years experience providing accounting, auditing and advisory services to a wide range of privately held and publicly traded companies. In addition to her practice responsibilities, Mannarino develops in-house professional training seminars and continuing education programs for outside organizations. Mannarino works in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office.

Berezin is a principal in the firm's Tax and Business Services division. He concentrates his efforts in the area of estate, gift and trust planning and compliance, focusing primarily on high net worth individuals, trusts and estates. In addition to his practice responsibilities, Berezin manages the overall tax planning and compliance function in the firm's Estate, Gift and Trust service area. Berezin works in the firm's Miami office.

Gellman is a principal in the firm's Advisory Services division. His areas of expertise include bankruptcy and insolvency, commercial and real estate financing, debt and equity placements, landlord-tenant conflicts, lender liability issues and organizational structures. Gellman has managed the complex portfolios of sub-performing and non-performing real estate loans as well as all phases of distressed commercial real estate. Gellman works in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office.

Roberts is a principal in the firm's Tax and Business Services division. He manages and supervises tax engagements, compliance reviews and tax planning. Roberts has 10 years experience providing accounting and advisory services for private companies in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, professional services, real estate and retail distribution. Roberts works in the firm's Miami office.

Wise is a principal in the firm's Advisory Services division and a member of the division's litigation support team. A former agent in the Internal Revenue Service's Criminal Investigation Division, Wise's expertise includes forensic accounting, financial investigative techniques, trial preparation, expert testimony, white collar crimes, money laundering and forfeitures. He recently was involved in the embezzlement of thousands of public dollars from a county detention center. Wise works in the firm's Miami office.
