Rachlin Adds Three Accounting Principals
Miami, FL - The accounting and advisory services firm Rachlin
LLP announced the addition of three seasoned
accounting professionals, Susan
L. Friend, Kyle T. Haugh
and Jose I. Marrero.

assets to clients and will compliment the talent here at the
firm."
Friend joins the
firm as principal in the Assurance, Government and Not-for-Profit
area. Her experience includes accounting, auditing and management
consulting services in the government arena. In the past, she
has been in charge of quality review of workpapers and financial
statements for a diversified client roster. Additionally, she
has been responsible for preparing and reviewing client submissions
to the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report program sponsored
by the Government Finance Officers Association and the International
Association of School Business Officials. Through her experience
with county governments, local governments and school districts,
Friend has authored a comprehensive audit program for municipal
and school district engagements. She holds a bachelor's degree
in accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University.
Haugh joins the
firm as principal in the Litigation, Insolvency and Business
Advisory Services area where he brings over 22 years of experience
in the public accounting profession and financial services industry.
Prior to joining Rachlin, Haugh held senior level positions
in the audit and consulting practices of national public accounting
firms in New York City and Chicago, where he also served as
senior vice president responsible for mergers and acquisitions.
He has provided traditional public accounting services to commercial
banks, finance companies, savings and loans, mortgage bankers
and real estate developers as well as served as an expert witness
before federal and state courts. Haugh has performed specialized
services during forensic accounting investigations and litigation
support services involving companies in numerous and varied
industries. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from
the University of Illinois.
Marrero also joins
Rachlin's Litigation & Insolvency Advisory Services area
as a principal. He brings more than 28 years of experience to
the firm from the Internal Revenue Service where he served in
many capacities such as a revenue agent, special agent, group
manager, regional analyst, division chief/ special agent in
charge and deputy director in the criminal investigation division.
Marrero directed the national policies and programs of criminal
investigation employees in the office of strategy. As the special
agent in charge of the Miami field office, he was responsible
for all criminal investigation resources in the southern district
of Florida, as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
He is a graduate of InterAmerican University with a bachelor's
degree in business administration.
