Rachlin Raises Hurricane Relief Funds
Florida Katrina victims to benefit from firm's donations
MIAMI, FL - Rachlin, the largest independent accounting firm in South Florida,
presented a check for $15,000 to the Greater Miami chapter of the American Red Cross in support
of South Florida victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Rachlin employees raised $7,500 through their participation in a firm-wide Jeans Day
fund-raising event. The firm matched employees' donations to bring the grand total to $15,000.
With most Hurricane Katrina donations sent to the Gulf Coast, Rachlin's donations are earmarked
for South Florida victims of the storm.
"This storm caused catastrophic damage that affected so many
from South Florida to the Gulf Coast," said Lawrence
H. Blum, Managing Partner, Rachlin. "I am
so proud that Rachlin can be part of the relief effort, especially
for our own neighbors in need."
In addition to helping out those in need from South Florida, the Greater Miami Chapter of the
American Red Cross will also use the donations to assist Gulf Coast residents who have relocated to
South Florida.
